The goals of the Neurosurgery Residency Program include:

  • excellence and compassion in patient care;
  • comprehensive training in all aspects of the diverse field of Neurosurgery;
  • exploration of and participation in the frontiers of research;
  • extensive hands-on surgical experience with the development of clinical decision making.

We encourage all interested applicants to spend some time on the Neurosurgery service at the University. We are happy to have sub-interns participate on our busy service. This will give you an excellent opportunity to experience what it is like to be a neurosurgery resident at the University of Utah.  Our Student Affairs Office coordinates our 4th year rotations and you can obtain an application on their web site at http://medicine.utah.edu/studentaffairs/ For questions regarding that application please call 801-581-5599.
