Egg donation

Ovum donation (egg donation)

Ovum donation has been available through The Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine since 1991 to offer a better chance of pregnancy to couples with potential oocyte problems. The Center recruits and screens women to be anonymous donors. If the patient desires, we will work with a known donor.

The egg recipient and her husband must meet one of our Reproductive Endocrinologists for an IVF interview. Due to the unique physical & psychological stresses for patients, we will have you also meet with one of our staff psychologists. Prior to treatment, the donor and recipient will undergo screening for infectious diseases. Because of the need to synchronize the schedules and menstrual cycles of two women, the entire treatment process can take two to six months.
