Other Degree Programs

The Department of Biomedical Informatics offers Ph.D. and M.S. degree programs, as well as a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics. In addition to other financial assistance opportunities, the department has a National Library of Medicine training grant in informatics that provides financial support for qualifying students.

As one of the oldest and largest informatics training programs in the country, our faculty and students have a broad range of experience and research interests. These research interests are divided into three general areas, or tracks: Health Care/Clinical Informatics (including Medical Imaging), Informatics for Clinical and Translational Research, and Public Health Informatics.

Additional information about research and educational opportunities for medical students, as well as information about the application process, is available from The Department of Biomedical Informatics website.
