The goal of the Transitioning Into Practice program is to provide the physician in training with information and tools to ensure a successful transition from training as a resident or fellow into the practice of medicine.  The University of Utah School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education office, the University of Utah School of Medicine Alumni Association, and the Utah Medical Education Council are proud to present this opportunity to guide new physicians to a rewarding and beneficial career.

The program is designed for residents, fellows and their significant others.  The curriculum will include topics such as:

  • Debt Management
  • Employment Contracts
  • Personal Security Insurance
  • Public Health and the Practicing Physician
  • Strategies for Success in Practice and in Life
  • The Search and The Interview: What You Need to Know
  • Panel Presentation: What I know Now That I Wish I'd Known Then

If you are transitioning from training into the practice of medicine, you won't want to miss the educational opportunity.

Registration will be available later in the summer. Check back as information will be continually updated.
