Annual Reunions and Awards Banquet
The University of Utah School of Medicine Alumni Weekend is an opportunity for alumni, colleagues, and friends of the University of Utah School of Medicine to gathered for a variety of entertaining and rewarding events. Each year the Alumni Association provides an Alumni Awards Banquet to honor and celebrate outstanding alumni from the University of Utah School of Medicine and to honor an individual or group for their contribution and service to furthering the mission of the School of Medicine. A variety of School of Medicine departments hold symposiums and department updates in conjunction with the weekend. The SOM Alumni Association coordinates class reunions, giving classmates a chance to come together to renew friendships. As well, a Continuing Medical Education session is provided covering a variety of health-related topics such as genetics or health care reform. Finally, the weekend often ends (schedule permitting) with a tailgating BBQ and a U of U football game. For more information about the SOM Alumni Weekend call (801) 585-3818.
