Open Postdoctoral Positions:
Positions in this category are funded through faculty research grants. They are usually open to US Citizens and all other valid academic/work visas.
National Library of Medicine (NLM) Funded Postdoctoral Training
The Department of Biomedical Informatics is the recipient of a National Library of Medicine T-15 training grant. This grant funds postdoctoral positions that are limited to US citizens or green card holders, and that take two forms:
Postdoctoral trainees with a doctorate in a health related field (MD, PhD, PharmD, or other healthcare doctorate):
Trainees in this category must pursue Biomedical Informatics postdoctoral training leading to a degree (Masters or PhD). The position is funded for up to 3 years. Stipend support rates can be found on the NLM website here. Applicants in this category are required to submit an application to the Biomedical informatics graduate training program. Please review these application instructions.
Postdoctoral trainees with a doctorate from a non-health related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering):
Trainees in this category are eligible for funding
1-3 years for advanced informatics training, and typically do not lead to a degree. These positions are funded at the NLM stipend support rates:
