Evaluations/Surveys
Live Course Evaluations
The intent of the course evaluation is to analyze changes in the learner’s competence, performance, or patient outcomes achieved as a result of the CME activity. The purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of the CME activity in meeting the identified educational needs and whether the desired results were achieved. One method of accomplishing this is through the use of the Commitment to Change tool (see sample - sample commitment to change). The evaluation also includes a four question evaluation and the end of course review by the course director.
Regularly Scheduled CME Activity Surveys
The ACCME's requirement for compliance with criteria 11 requires the provider to analyze changes in learners (competence, performance, or patient outcomes) achieved as a result of the overall program's activities/educational interventions.
To fulfill this requirement the following two surveys are provided to RSS Directors:
Event Based Survey
An electronic survey sent to learners twice per year. This survey is intended to ask the learner based upon what they have learned over the past several sessions, what can be implemented or changed in their practice, research, or administrative responsibilities. Please se the link below for a sample survey.
This survey can easily be completed in a few minutes. The best tools to accomplish this are Survey Monkey or Opinio Survey. The UUCME office will assist you in proparing and sending the survey.
RSS Director Review
The purpose of the RSS Director Review is to provide the director and planners of the Regularly Scheduled Series time to reflect after the academic year series is completed the: series achievements, challenges, changes to make for the coming year, what can be improved and what went well. The UUCME office uses this CME activity review as part of the overall CME program review.
