STATdx
Internet Based Searching and Learning Tool
The University of Utah School of Medicine in association with Amirsys is able to offer CME credits through a program of "Internet-Based Searching and Learning". The process allows you to search on items of interest and apply that learning for CME credits.
To complete a CME Internet-Based Searching and Learning cycle, required by the American Medical Association (AMA), you must complete the evaluation at the end of the research activity, which will allow you to: review the original clinical question(s), identify the relevant sources from among those consulted and describe the application of findings to practice.
*Note: Physicians conducting structured online searches on clinical topics may claim 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for documented completion of the three step learning cycle defined above.
To participate in this program you must:
- Register with Amirsys STATdx and purchase the appropriate license.
- Register with the University of Utah CME office and pay a one time $100 registration fee and the annual credit fee, which will be charged on this one year anniversary date and based on $10 per CME credit.
You agree the amount of time logged on does not necessarily reflect the quantity of credits designated/accumulated for each year. The quantity of credits earned is determined by the successful completion of a structured online cycle or session of CME Internet-Based Searching and Learning monitored by the completed evaluations and the tracking log of STATdx™ or Amirsys ® eBook Advantage™ and the UUCME database systems. Including but not limited to: date and duration of time spent for each session, topic and source of each session, username and password and completed evaluations.
