Clinical Services
The Department of Dermatology evaluates patients of all ages for the treatment and diagnosis of skin cancer and diseases of the skin. The Department provides expertise in the areas of psoriasis, skin allergies, genetic diseases, melanoma, hair loss, pediatric skin diseases, blistering diseases, cutaneous lymphoma, complex dermatologic disorders, eczema, laser surgery, and cosmetic procedures.
Physicians on staff specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, including Mohs surgery. Processing and interpretation of biopsy specimens are available in the areas of dermatopathology and immunopathology as well as serologic testing for celiac disease and epithelial skin antibodies.
The Department of Dermatology, in conjunction with the Huntsman Cancer Institute, has a comprehensive melanoma and pigmented lesion program.
