Susan E. W. Cochella, MD, MPH
Dr. Susan Cochella teaches medical students, residents, and PA students in the classroom, outpatient clinic, and the hospital settings, and practices full spectrum Family Medicine at the University's Sugarhouse Clinic. Her administrative responsibilities inlude directing Medical Student Education in Family Medicine, and serving as a director of implementation for the new four hear curriculum at the School of Medicine. She has a passion for effective systems, public health, policy, negotiation, cultural sensitivity, and the doctor-patient relationship. She grew up in Reno, Nevada, where she graduated from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Utah in 1999. In 2003 she completed the Master Teacher faculty development fellowship and MPH degree with a focus on effective teaching methods and curricular development. She is married with two young children, and enjoys reading, playing piano, and outdoor sports.
