Hannah Edwards, MD, MPH

Hannah Edwards, MD, MPH is an Occupational, Environmental, and Family Medicine physician. Her professional interests include clinical quality improvement, evidence-based practice implementation, medical center occupational health, and occupational safety and health research and education. Dr. Edwards participates in the development of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM)'s evidence-based practice guidelines (ACOEM's Occupational Medicine Practice Guidelines, 2nd Edition and Updates). She is an investigator on two studies that examine the ergonomic and general medical factors that cause or place workers at increased risk for upper extremity and low back pain.
Dr. Edwards is an Assistant Professor within the Occupational Medicine program in the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health-sponsored Education and Research Center. She teaches in several graduate level courses, including Clinical Prevention, Advanced Topics in Occupational and Environmental Health, and Occupational Injury and Disease. She is an active member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Qualifications:
Dr. Edwards is board certified in Preventive Medicine in the subspecialty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and board certified in Family Medicine. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1999. She completed Family Medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2002. She completed a Master of Public Health degree in 2004 and Occupational and Environmental Medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2005.
