Susan Pohl, MD

Susan D. Pohl, MD serves the department of family medicine as an assistant professor and spends her time teaching and providing clinical services at the Madsen Clinic. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and her residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to her move to Salt Lake City, she worked in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio and in a teaching position at Texas A&M Health Science Center. Her current practice includes full-spectrum family medicine with low-risk obstetrical care. Her clinical interests include women’s health, nutrition, and evidenced-based care. She has provided leadership in the areas of quality and safety in medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast.
