Sara Simonsen, PhD, CMN, MSPH

Sara Simonsen Dr. Simonsen is a Visiting Instructor in the Division of Public Health at the University of Utah. She currently teaches the Public Health PhD seminar. Dr. Simonsen is Certified Nurse Midwife with clinical and research experience in the areas of reproductive health, fertility, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and women's health. Active areas of research include use of community-based wellness coaches for the prevention of obesity risk factors among women in 5 diverse underserved communities, risk factors for recurrent preterm birth and other pregnancy complications, and experiences and pregnancy outcomes of community and clinic-based women with infertility.
