Sonja N. Van Hala, MD, MPH
Enjoys full-spectrum family care from the newborn to the grandparent, including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, women's and men's health, and preventive medicine. She graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1998, trained in Family Medicine at the University of Utah, and completed a two-year curriculum development fellowship in 2003, earning a Masters of Public Health from the University of Utah. She has been Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency since 2005. She enjoys live music, cooking, mountain biking, alpine and Nordic skiing, trail-running with her dog, learning Spanish, watching independent films with her husband and sharing time with her two children.
