Susan E. W. Cochella, MD, MPH
Teaches residents and medical students, and sees patients at the Sugarhouse clinic. She grew up in Reno, Nevada, where she graduated from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Utah in 1999. In 2003 she completed the Master Teacher faculty development fellowship with a focus on effective teaching and curriculum development, and her MPH degree. She teaches residents in clinic, hospital, and lecture settings, and medical students in all four years of the medical school curriculum. Her practice at Sugarhouse clinic involves full spectrum family medicine without OB. She has a passion for public health, policy, negotiation, cultural sensitivity, and the doctor-patient relationship. She is married with two young children, and enjoys reading and outdoor sports.
