Family and Preventive Medicine

Kurt T. Hegmann, MD, MPH, FACP, FACOEM

Dr. Hegmann graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed an Internal Medicine residency and an Occupational Medicine residency at the University of Utah that included obtaining a Masters in Public Health degree. He then completed a Fellowship in Medical Education at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Hegmann's clinical interests include most areas of clinical occupational medicine. His research interests include the epidemiology of musculoskeletal disorders, and he currently is working on the 2 largest grants funded to date on those problems. His teaching activities involve the Public Health Programs (Clinical Prevention, Occupational & Environmental Diseases), Medical School (Science of Medicine) and he directs the University's National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health-funded Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, as well as its Occupational Medicine Residency Program.
