Family and Preventive Medicine

George L. White, PhD, MSPH

Dr. White Dr. White a Professor at the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. He has directed graduate programs at the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of South Alabama. In 2002, he was appointed Chair of the Utah Health Advisory Council by Gov. Michael O. Leavitt. Dr. White graduated from the National Public Health Leadership Institute in November 2004. In 2004, he received the Theodore Bruce Beatty M.D. Award, Utah's most prestigious public health service award. As a point of interest he has maintained national certification as a Physician Assistant since 1975 and an Environmental Health Scientist license since 1985.
