The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention maintain a website with current recommendations on vaccinations, diseases, and health tips by destination for international travel.

Travel and Medical Insurance
Students are required to have travel insurance while participating in research programs abroad. When program arrangements are made through the University International Center, this insurance is provided by the center. If program arrangements are not made through the University International Center, students must arrange their own travel insurance with one of the accompanying faculty. University travel insurance only covers the dates of the program. Persons covered by personal medical insurance should check their coverage to ensure that it includes international travel. Coverage will vary from plan to plan.
