About the Program

northwest MESA

Northwest Middle School is a Title I school located on the west side of Salt Lake City. The partnership between the MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) Club and the Office of Diversity began in 2000.

Once a month our medical students join the MESA group to conduct a hands-on activity during the club's usual meeting time. Typically the group has about 20 students.

Northwest graduates go on to attend West High School where they have the opportunity to participate in other DCO outreach programs such as Health Sciences Academy, and Future Doctors.
