Opportunities

Research

Many students desire to participate in research throughout their medical education. Although not required, students who participate in research in Utah or another state find their time well spent.

Soon, we hope to add resources and highlighted opportunities related to a particular career or research area here at the University of Utah as well as for many institutions throughout the United States. Additionally, we will add news and events for other opportunities such as residency open houses and various minority conferences.

Careers

We also encourage you to start planning your career during your first years of medical school. The AAMC Careers in Medicine (CiM) Program is a fantastic way to identify tools, resources and information regarding particular careers in medicine. The link in the right hand column will take you to the Careers in Medicine website.
