Academic Bio

Dr. Kevin Walker completed his Bachelor of Music degree at Brigham Young University in 2002 following which he attended medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, earning his medical degree in 2006. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine in 2007 and his residency in Neurology in 2010 at the University of Utah, serving as co-chief resident his final year of residency. During residency he developed a greater interest in and appreciation for sleep and the lack thereof, prompting him to pursue a one-year sleep medicine fellowship at the University of Utah and Affiliated Clinics, following which he joined the University of Utah Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor in 2010. He is currently board certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine with his clinical practice devoted to the evaluation and management of adult sleep disorders. He developed a clinical rotation in sleep medicine for the neurology residents at the University of Utah and enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows about sleep disorders.
