Wimba is a web-based conferencing tool designed to support online courses and meetings. Users can set up a web "room" for virtual office hours, consultation, teaching, or meetings. Wimba also integrates seamlessly with Blackboard and other CMS systems for web-based or web-supported courses. Your campus faculty assistance center and/or distance education staff will have more information about Wimba. Training is online and free -- and your students will be happy they didn't need to drive to campus. You can also visit the UEN Wimba page for quick teaching tips called "Wimbits."

UEN Faculty Lounge offers 30 rewarding minutes of technology instruction for more advanced users. The web-based conferences are held live every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:00 beginning Sept 4th and sessions are also archived for on-demand viewing.
