Joint Appointments
Joint (dual) appointments will not be approved except under exceptional circumstances when specified and persuasive justification is provided that the individual is meeting criteria as a faculty member in both departments. Separate A&RPT reviews are conducted in each department.Departments must submit a written request with justification for joint appointments to Faculty Administration for approval by the Dean, Associate Dean for Finance, Associate Vice President for Health Sciences, and Senior Vice President. Once approval is granted for joint appointment, both departments will submit the necessary paperwork for a new tenure track faculty appointment.
