- A closing date may appear in the ad if desired.
- The position cannot be offered until after the closing date (if used.) For the department to continue accepting applications after the closing date, the following disclaimer must be included in the advertisement - "Deadline MM/DD/YY or until suitable candidate is identified." Remember: A closing date is not mandatory, but if used, the above statement needs to be included in the proposed advertisement
- A minimum of 30 days is required between the publication of the advertisement and the application closing date.
- Every ad must include the following OEO/AA standard language:
