Choosing a Lender
The U.S. Department of Education is your lender. To take out a Direct Loan for the first time, you must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN). You can complete the MPN online at the StudentLoans.gov website.
Important Facts/Dates to Remember
- Refer to the Financial Aid website frequently for the most up-tp-date information at www.sa.utah.edu/finance/.
- Make sure your file (including FAFSA application and UFORM) is complete by April 1, 2011, in order to be considered for the most desirable aid for the 2011-2012 school year (see website for more details).
- The last day to submit an application for Summer 2012 aid will be June 1, 2012. The summer application will be posted on the Financial Aid website at www.sa.utah.edu/finance/ once it become available mid-March 2012.
