Revision and Cancellation of Awards

Revision

Students may receive scholarships, loans, stipends or monies from other sources after the FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA is filed. If this is the case, or any other change in resources has taken place, this change must be reported immediately to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office.

Cancellation

The University of Utah reserves the right to review and cancel financial aid awards at any time because of changes in federal funding or in a student's financial, residential, marital, or academic status, or because of a recipient's failure to observe reasonable standards of citizenship. On occasion, specific guidelines and requirements to receive awards change. Should such changes result in reduced eligibility, the student may be billed for monies received.
