Advancing Refugee Wellness in Utah & Beyond

The Student Global Health Initiative (SGHI) is proud to announce the annual Student Global Health Conference. SGHI is dedicated to creating sustainable health improvements through local partnerships focused on capacity building, exchange of education, and advancing the science of global health practice. Members of SGHI span from various undergraduate colleges to graduate disciplines in medicine, public health, nursing, pharmacy, physician's assistant, dentistry, social work, and engineering.

This year's conference will focus on refugee wellness in light of the current refugee crisis. Presentations and workshops will emphasize refugee health here in Utah and abroad from an interdisciplinary approach. We are fortunate to have healthcare leaders, practitioners and refugee community members joining us from all over the world as we explore advancing partnerships and education to better meet the needs of refugee communities.
