Parking
Each vehicle using campus parking facilities must display a valid University parking permit unless parked in a pay lot or at a parking meter. A vehicle may only be parked in a lot for which the permit shows eligibility (i.e., "A" permit can park in either "A" lots or "U" lots; "U" permit can park only in "U" lots or "E" lots).
PARKING REGULATIONS ARE ENFORCED YEAR-ROUND. Permit parking is enforced from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, or other times where posted.
NOTE: Your vehicle may need an emission test before a permit can be purchased.
Types of Permits:
Prices are effective July 1, 2008 and are subject to change.
"U" permit - The "U" parking permit is for students and staff. Cost is $132.00 annually.
"A" permit - The "A" parking permit is for faculty and staff. Cost is $264.00 annually.

(NOTE: Housestaff may park on the 4th level of the South Terrace with an "A" permit and an "H" tag--available in the Graduate Medical Education Office.) Currently, there is a waiting list for the "T" permits.
"E" permit - The "E" parking permit is for the outlying areas on campus and by Red Butte Gardens. Shuttles run every five to ten minutes for transport to University, Primary, and VA Hospitals. Cost is $66.00 yearly.
Parking permits can be paid for through payroll deduction.
Utah Transit Authority bus and Trax fares are available at no cost to any employee who has a University ID. The bus and Trax fares can be used for rides anywhere on the bus and Trax system with the exception of the ski areas.
