Mindfulness involves being aware of what is happening in the present moment with an attitude of openness and acceptance towards our experience. There are a variety of mindfulness practices that can help focus our attention on what is happening right here, right now. There is a strong body of research demonstrating the benefits of mindfulness practices for physicians by reducing stress and promoting well-being.
