The Endocrinology Fellowship Program is dedicated to providing the highest quality clinical and research training in the subspecialty of endocrinology. It is accredited by the Graduate Medical Education Committee of the University of Utah and by the Residency Review Committee of the ACGME.
The fellowship is a two-year program with an optional third year in research based at the University Hospital, Salt Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Primary Children’s Hospital. Upon completion, fellows are board-eligible in endocrinology. All of our fellows have completed the program and have passed their endocrinology boards.
This program provides excellent clinical and research training under the direction of our Program Director Debra L. Simmons, MD, MS, and our exceptional clinical faculty. Fellows participate in on-going clinical or basic research projects and are given opportunities to develop related research interests of their own.
