TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity has been designed to meet the needs of community and hospital-based physicians, basic and translational scientists, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, administrators, and allied health professional who have an interest in thrombosis diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.


PURPOSE/GOAL
The University of Utah and Venous Disease Coalition (VDC) have collaborated to provide this quality improvement initiative to review and address knowledge gaps in provider education with regard to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of post-thrombotic syndrome.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
  1. Review current patient and provider knowledge gaps identified by PTS quality improvement survey study;
  2. Recognize the relationship between deep vein thrombosis and post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS);
  3. Learn about the diagnosis, prevention, and management of PTS;
  4. Review recently published and ongoing research in the area of PTS.

Estimated Time of Completion:  1.0 hours
Method of Participation: To receive a statement of credit, you must:
  • Review the full content of the activity.
  • Successfully complete the evaluation.
  • There is no time requirement for completion of the entire program.
Your statement of credit will be recorded with the University of Utah CME Office upon successful completion of the program and submission of the evaluation form.

Fee: This activity is provided at no cost to the participant.
