Adi Gundlapalli, MD, PhD

Adi Gundlapalli, MD, PhDAdi Gundlapalli received his basic medical training in Madras, India (Madras Medical College) and graduate training in immunology at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT.  He then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut and moved to the University of Utah School Of Medicine where he completed a fellowship in infectious diseases and hospital epidemiology in 2002.

Dr. Gundlapalli is currently an investigator with the NIH-funded Rocky Mountain Center of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Disease Research and is on faculty at the University Of Utah School Of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases.  He has most recently worked as medical director of Wasatch Homeless Health Care, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah.

His research interests include influenza, public health surveillance, preparedness for emerging infections/agents of bio-terrorism, and health care for the homeless.
