Larry Reimer, M.D.

Larry Reimer, MDLarry Reimer is a Professor of Medicine and Pathology at the University of Utah, and is the Chief of Infectious Diseases, and Chief of Clinical Microbiology at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City.  He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona in 1978, and a fellowship in infectious diseases and microbiology at the University of Colorado in 1981.  He has been at the University of Utah since 1984. He is the sole provider of HIV care at the VA Medical Center and is one of the physicians providing HIV care at the University of Utah.  He directs a medical student course and a physician assistant student course in microbiology.  He is the director of the University of Utah Postgraduate Fellowship in Clinical Microbiology offered through the Council on Postgraduate Education Programs of the American Academy of Microbiology.  He is the Associate Dean for Curriculum and Graduate Medical Education of the University of Utah School of Medicine, and directs the Medical Scholars Program for the School of Medicine.
