My research focus is on improving early diagnostic and prognostic approaches for evaluating donor organs as well as kidney recipients around the time of transplantation and during clinical follow up. I perform in-depth epidemiological studies in transplantation using national databases as well as clinical observational studies in transplant patients. I also participate in large, cutting-edge translational studies to discover and validate novel non-invasive biomarkers to assess transplant kidney quality, acute injury and repair processes.
