The educational mission of the medical school at the University of Utah is to prepare all medical students to be well versed in scientific fundamentals, be technically proficient, and be medically, socially and culturally responsive to the needs of their patients. The curriculum at the University of Utah will serve to optimize patient care by preparing medical students to become competent, compassionate and conscientious physicians who, as lifelong learners, are able to effectively respond to the ever-changing demands of a complex system of healthcare.
