Abby Smart, R.N.
Abby Smart (asmart@genetics.utah.edu) received her nursing degree from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. She worked as an operating room nurse at Primary Children’s Medical Center for many years before starting her research career in pediatric cardiology. She joined the Pediatric Motor Disorders Research team in 2005. She has been instrumental in SMA clinical trials, and in helping to develop clinical management protocols for our patients. In addition to work with our team, Abby has been an active volunteer for many years for the Interplast International group.
