Where is the 2008 Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer going to take place?

The race will be held at Sugarhouse Park.  We have reserved the NORTH WEST PAVILION in Sugarhouse Park where runners and walkers can register and/or pick up race day bag.  The North West Pavilion is your first left turn when you enter the park. There will be no parking allowed down the inlet, but there is plenty of parking throughout the park.

What is the 2008 date for the Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer?

Saturday, September 13, 2008. Registration and packet pick up begins at 7:00 AM and the run begins at 8:00 AM.

Can participants run or walk with a stroller?

Yes, this year the event will take place on the inner road of Sugarhouse Park. This will make running or walking with a stroller very easy. We do ask that people who are running or walking with their strollers to start towards the back of the pack.

Can participants bring their dog to the event?

Yes, participants are allowed to bring their dog to the event, and run or walk with it, as long as it is on a leash. We do ask that people who are running or walking with their dogs start towards the back of the pack.

Where will the proceeds of the Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer go to?

The proceeds of this event will be used to increase awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors for ovarian cancer as well as other gynecologic cancers (uterine, cervix, vulvar, vaginal, and fallopian tube); and, also, to support innovative research in prevention, early detection, and treatment of gynecologic cancer.

How successful was the inaugural Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer?

In 2007, the Foundation hosted the inaugural Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer. This event raised over $13,000 and had over 400 runners and walkers.
