Zygote intrafallopian tube transfer (ZIFT)

This is a combination of the procedures of IVF and GIFT wherein eggs are fertilized in the laboratory (IVF) and the resulting embryos are transferred to the fallopian tubes. ZIFT may be used in women who have a difficult embryo transfer.
