Gynecologic Oncology
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology, a component of the nationally designated Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, provides comprehensive collaborative care and strives to provide the best possible patient care in detecting and treating cancers of the female reproductive system. Each year, approximately 80,000 women are diagnosed with cancer of the reproductive organs, including ovarian, cervical and endometrial.
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology consists of a team composed of gynecologic oncologist physicians, a gynecologist, two nurses, four medical assistants, a team of residents and a clinical care coordinator. In addition to the gynecologic oncologist team, the patient care team may include the referring physician, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, nutritionists, pain specialists, and researchers. In addition to our team approach, we also provide access to the latest techniques, technologies and treatments available as well as access to clinical trials through our membership in the Gynecologic Oncology Group.
