Yes, participants are allowed to bring their dog to the event, and run or walk with it, as long as it is on a leash. We do ask that people who are running or walking with their dogs start towards the back of the group and please be courteous of the other race participants who may bring young children, strollers or wheelchairs.

Where will the proceeds of the Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer go to?

The proceeds of this event will go to the Ovarian Cancer Research and Awareness Fund created in 2007 by the University of Utah Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology division of Gynecologic Oncology.  The goals and mission of the fund are to; increase awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors for ovarian cancer as well as other gynecologic cancers (uterine, cervix, vulvar, vaginal, and fallopian tube); to educate and improve the care of women diagnosed with gynecologic cancers; and to support innovative research in prevention, early detection, and treatment of gynecologic cancer.  For more information go to http://medicine.utah.edu/obgyn/Gynecologic_Oncology/index.htm .
