Susan Sandoval Memorial 5K

Join Us for the 10th Annual Run!

When: Saturday September 10th, 2016
Where: Sugar House Park, Big Field Pavilion

(distance = 1.75 miles)

The Susan Sandoval 5K for Ovarian Cancer Awareness is an annual event that takes place each fall in Sugar House Park. The event is named in honor of Susan Sandoval, a nurse at LDS and Primary Children’s hospitals who battled ovarian cancer.

Beginning with 400 participants in 2007, the race continues to raise money each year for the Ovarian Cancer Education, Awareness, and Research Fund. The fund increases awareness of the risk factors and symptoms of gynecologic cancers and contributes to innovative research. Participation in the race not only honors Susan Sandoval’s memory, but also the struggles of all who have been touched by gynecologic cancer.

Both teams and individuals are welcome to take part in this event. We hope you will join us!
