Dr. Coleman trained at the University of Utah, completed his residency at the University of Iowa, a fellowship at the University of Edinburgh Arthritis Unit in Scotland, and a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at Duke University. His active clinical practice is exclusively restricted to upper extremity and microsurgical reconstruction and his special interests include compressive neuropathies (endocdopic carpal tunnel releases, for example), brachial plexus injuries, rheumatoid arthritis surgery, congenital anomalies surgery, and trauma reconstruction elbow to finger. Dr. Coleman is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and his professional societies include American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Medical Association.
