Jacques D'Astous, M.D., FRCS(C)Dr. D'Astous is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon who practices at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Intermountain and is now the consulting staff at Primary Children's Medical Center. He completed his orthopaedic training at the University of Ottawa and received a McLaughlin, Traveling Fellowship which allowed him to complete his pediatric orthopaedic training in London, Paris, Boston Massachusetts, and Wilmington Delaware. Prior to coming on staff at the Shriners Hospital in 1995, Dr. D'Astous practiced at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Ottawa, Canada, since 1979 and was Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics from 1993 - 1995. His particular interests include neuromuscular disorders, spinal deformities, as well as general pediatric orthopaedics. He is the Medical Director of the Movement Analysis Laboratory at Shriners Hospital. Dr. D'Astous' professional memberships include Canadian Orthopaedic Association, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, North American Society of Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis, American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
