James W. Roach, M.D.

Dr. Roach joined the Department of Orthopaedics in March, 2001 after serving as the Assistant Chief of Staff at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas and the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cook Children's Medical Center in FortWorth, Texas. Dr. Roach is the new Chief of Staff at the Salt Lake City Shriners Hospital. His educational background includes an MD degreefrom Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC and an MBA from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his residency in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Tripler Army Hospital and a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Special orthopaedic interests include spine deformities, hip deformities and leg lengthening.
