The University of Utah Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Alumni Association
The University of Utah PM&R Residency program, started by Dr. James Swenson in 1966, has nearly one hundred alumni. Graduates from the program now practice from coast to coast in the US, including one Canadian practitioner. The majority work in Utah and adjacent states, with the next most popular post-residency location being Texas.
Formal opportunities for alumni meetings are usually organized around the Park City PM&R Update, with additional plans to gather at the annual meeting of the AAPM&R. The primary goals of the association are to maintain personal and professional contact between alumni and to raise funding for educational materials for current and future residents.
