Rotation Site: South Main Clinic

This facility provides primary care to a largely Spanish-speaking population. Residents who choose this as their continuity clinic have the opportunity to work with excellent, compassionate pediatric attendings. Residents become the primary care provider for their pediatric patients and establish relationships of mutual respect and trust with their parents. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is very useful, although not required in this clinic. There are interpretors available in the clinic.

Rotation Site: Teen Mother and Child Clinic

This clinic provides comprehensive care for teenage mothers and their children up to five years of age. The residents work closely with a multidisciplinary team including attending pediatricians, social workers, nurse midwifes, and financial counselors. This is an excellent opportunity for Triple Board residents to follow patients with a number of psychological issues complicating the usual variety of childhood and adolescent health care needs. It is also an excellent place to hone skills in working with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
