Restoring Balance Self-Care Retreat

This one-day retreat is designed for health care professionals including physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, who are suffering from burnout, compassion fatigue, having difficulty finding a sense of meaning or purpose in their careers, or are simply looking for new ways to manage stress and increase resiliency. The unique retreat involves didactic teaching, guided stress-reduction exercises including mindfulness and yoga, facilitated group discussion, and time for personal reflection. Each participant will develop their own written self-care plan.

Dr. Paul Thielking will lead the retreat. Dr. Thielking is board certified in Psychiatry and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. He has a long-standing interest in helping health care professionals with stress and burnout, and has led several self-care retreats for health care professionals.
