What to expect as an applicant...
If you are offered an interview, you will meet with five faculty members and the chief resident. This will be followed by lunch and a tour of the department. The lunch and tour are hosted by residents who are not part of the applicant committee and who do not report to the faculty, so please relax and have fun.
The night before your interview, there is a get-together at a resident's house, usually a 1st or 2nd year. These are meant to be informal and relaxed, a chance for you to get to know some of the residents and other applicants. Information for the get-together will be forwarded to you prior to your arrival. Also, we are happy to provide a list of hotels at which you can stay. Alternatively, if you would rather stay with a resident, there are always several who are willing to host you during your stay and get you to your interview (and the airport). Just let Terri (the residency coordinator) know in advance so we can find someone.
