Serving people from across the State and Intermountain West, The Department of Radiology at University of Utah Health Care offers every clinical imaging subspecialty and provides the most advanced, state-of-the-art technology available to diagnose and treat disease. Our highly skilled team of radiologists, nurses, and technologists perform and read over 250,000 exams each year. The department’s residency program has been rated top in the nation and our Radiologists are internationally known for their work and research.
The Radiology department boasts over 30 board certified sub-specialist Radiologists that have expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, chest imaging, neuro imaging, body imaging, breast imaging, ultrasound (including high-risk obstetric ultrasound), cardiac imaging, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology. Additionally, we have radiologists with subspecialty expertise in all imaging modalities including MRI, CT, PET/CT, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine. Patients can feel rest assured when they visit our department they are being attended to by some of the most skilled Radiologists anywhere.
We offer the lowest-dose imaging equipment available with a full-time physicist closely monitoring radiation levels for patient safety and quality assurance.
