Continuing Education

The Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) at the University of Utah has been a partially-funded National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Education and Research Center since 1978. The Continuing Education (CE) component of the Center was initiated in 1979. It remains as a primary OSH CE resource in HHS Region VIII.

The program’s mission is to reduce human and financial costs by providing excellent short-course training in occupational safety and health that is marked by continuous improvement and response to needs, setting the highest standards for both internal and external service. For over 25 years, hundreds of programs, consisting of courses, lectures and conferences, have linked practicing professionals in academic institutions, government agencies, industrial settings and private businesses. Target audiences have included industrial hygienists, safety professionals, ergonomists and occupational health nurses.

The Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health is dedicated to the continued training of occupational and environmental health professionals. Each continuing education course is carefully designed to be thorough and the faculty are chosen for their knowledge and experience.
